FullTilt Wins Silver Award from Bloor Research
Business Wire, Oct 10, 2006
Bloor considers FullTilt to offer a well-rounded, mature MDM repository for Product Information.
WAYNE, Pa. -- FullTilt Solutions Inc., a leading provider of enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, today announced Bloor Research, a leading provider of information technology (IT) research, advisory services and strategic consulting, has awarded FullTilt, a "Silver Award" in the repository category in its 2006 "Master Data Management" report. FullTilt is considered by Bloor to offer a well-rounded, mature MDM repository for Product Information with its Perfect Product Suite(tm).
Bloor Research's Master Data Management report highlights the growing emergence of the MDM market due to poor customer service, a failure to cross-sell/up-sell products, a lack of global supplier management, the inability of the business to remain competitive by reshaping processes to respond to market or customer needs and regulatory compliance.
Bloor defines MDM by its application to enterprise objects such as products, customers, suppliers, cost centers, locations, and so on, primarily where immediate business benefit is to be gained in driving revenue, streamlining costs, and ensuring governance compliance.
"FullTilt entered the market in 2001 and drove its architecture from a top-down business perspective. The result is a product with high ease of use that can accommodate distributed authoring and management across a diverse business community," wrote Bloor Research Associate Analyst Harriet Fryman in the report. The report also states that, "compared to other PIM products that require more IT involvement, FullTilt provides templates that business users can configure to drive the entire MDM process."
The Bloor report uses the Bullseye open research framework and scores vendors based upon weighted combinations on the following criteria: Stability and Risk, Fit for Purpose, Implementation, Support, and Architecture. FullTilt's overall score for Fit for Purpose, Implementation, and Support and Architecture was the highest of any evaluated vendor.
"We were very pleased with the evaluation of our product offering by the Bloor Report," stated Tim Wallace, CEO of FullTilt Solutions. "The report once again confirms what the market place is telling us. Customers looking to increase revenues and profits and that understand that managing their product master data in a central repository is a fundamental requirement of the demand driven supply chain know that our product is the best in the market place."
Forrester Research also recently ranked FullTilt's Perfect Product Suite as the market's top Product Information Management solution. The software automates the internal and external data synchronization processes necessary to eliminate conflicting item definitions, outdated item information, duplicates and other errors contained in multiple enterprise databases and applications.
