Acme Packet Prices Initial Public Offering

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ: APKT) today announced the pricing of an initial public offering by Acme Packet of 8.0 million shares and by certain of its stockholders of approximately 3.5 million shares of its common stock, each at a price of $9.50 per share. Acme Packet has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to approximately 1.7 million additional shares from Acme Packet. Acme Packet's common stock will be listed on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol "APKT" and will begin trading on Friday, October 13, 2006.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the sole book-running manager, Credit Suisse is co-lead manager, and JPMorgan and ThinkEquity Partners are co-managers for the offering.
