Flagship Product xfy Enterprise Solution for IBM DB2([R]) 9 Certified as "Ready for IBM DB2 Data Server Software"
PALO ALTO, Calif. & ANAHEIM, Calif. -- JustSystems, Inc., a leading global enterprise software company, today announced its xfy[TM] (pronounced 'x-fie') XML-based application platform has been tested and validated to work on hardware supported by IBM DB2 data server software for Linux, Unix, Windows, or DB2 for z/OS. The certification gives enterprise customers confidence in the ease of integration between IBM DB2 server software products and the JustSystems xfy product line. The combination enables organizations to leverage the power of XML and SOA to rapidly build and deploy important applications that deliver dynamic information to end users.
Having been certified compatible with DB2, and having passed IBM's high standards of testing and validation, JustSystems ensures easy and successful integration with IBM DB2 data server software, including the new DB2[R] 9. This validation means lower development costs for integrating with DB2 software, further enhancing the value of customers' investments in the xfy platform.
"IBM's rigorous certification process ensures xfy's seamless integration with the DB2 data server environment, making it painless and cost effective for organizations to put the full power of XML technology at their fingertips," said Hideki Hiura, chief scientist and CTO, JustSystems. "This certification serves as yet another testament to xfy's technology leadership."
According to IBM, "DB2 9's pureXML[TM] feature has revolutionized support for XML data Co handling XML as a new data type that is stored in a natural hierarchy Co different from relational data. pureXML's seamless integration of XML with relational data speeds application development, improves search performance with highly optimized XML indexes, and is flexible because both SQL and XQuery can be used to query XML data."
The "Ready for IBM DB2 Data Server Software" program is a process designed for independent software vendors (ISVs) and solution integrators to validate and certify their products for compatibility for IBM DB2. The process certifies that xfy Enterprise has been proven to easily and successfully integrate with the IBM DB2 data server software.
JustSystems will be exhibiting at the IBM Information On Demand event (booth #D403), taking place October 15-20, 2006 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
