VoxBrowser is part of Voxware's family of open, standards-based software solutions for logistics that includes Voxware's flagship VoiceLogistics Pro[TM] software toolkit for logistics solutions providers. With its most recent release of VoiceLogistics Pro 2.0, integrators and warehouse management system providers are able to create powerful, flexible voice logistics solutions as an integral part of their overall applications.
Jim Childress, president and general manager of LXE, said, "The HX2 computer is designed to bring together powerful functionality in an ergonomically efficient form factor in order to expand the opportunities for hands-free work in the warehouse. Since voice is an all important hands-free component, LXE is pleased that the HX2 terminal will be supported by the same Voxware VoxBrowser client software that has already voice-enabled our HX1 and MX7 terminals. With its ToughTalk technology and Voxware's VoxBrowser, the HX2 computer will be able to deliver value anywhere in the warehouse, under the most demanding conditions."
Childress continued. "The Voxware VoiceLogistics Pro software toolkit also has the opportunity to accelerate HX2 terminal deployments by offering our value added reseller partners the ability to develop, more quickly and easily, their own voice solutions that can be integrated with other functionality supported by the HX2 computer. It is important to LXE that our partners have the potential to fully leverage our multimodal computers, including the HX2 model."
Tom Drury, Voxware CEO, stated, "Voxware's software is ideally suited to support this important new initiative by LXE to bring to market a multi-modal hands-free mobile computer. Based on our expertise in providing voice logistics solutions - one of the most powerful hands-free solutions in logistics today - we are pleased to provide our software to support the LXE HX2 computer. This represents a milestone for Voxware and LXE in showing how reliable voice standards make it easy to include voice capabilities in the development of an innovative new mobile computer. At the same time, we are pleased that our VoiceLogistics Pro software has the potential to further support LXE's initiatives by offering their value added resellers the ability to quickly and cost-effectively build voice into new integrated applications utilizing the HX2 terminal to extend hands-free productivity."
The rugged HX2 wearable computer will be available early 2007. More information on the HX2 can be found at www.hx2.lxe.com.
