25 Outstanding High School Juniors to be Chosen From a Group of International Nominees
WALTHAM, Mass. -- Bentley College is accepting nominations for its third annual Tomorrow25 international leadership competition. Spotlighting exemplary high school juniors from around the world, the program identifies students who demonstrate initiative, citizenship, technological savvy, cultural awareness, social responsibility and a commitment to making positive things happen in their communities or schools.
Launched in 2005, the Tomorrow25 program has brought outstanding young men and women from around the U.S., Ghana, Egypt, Singapore, Canada and the Czech Republic to Bentley each spring as honored guests at the Bentley Leadership Forum, presented in cooperation with TIME magazine. Student finalists interact with high-profile business leaders at the conference and are recognized individually at a luncheon ceremony. The Tomorrow25 also appear in a national advertisement in TIME magazine as part of Bentley's national campaign.
Simon Mahler, a high school student at the International School of Prague in the Czech Republic made his first trip to the U.S. as a Tomorrow 25 finalist. "I will always remember the experience that will forever influence my life. It was my first trip to the U.S. and it really opened the world to me," he said.
"My family and I were so impressed with the Tomorrow25 program, the Bentley Leadership Forum and the overall atmosphere at Bentley College," said Tracey Guida, a 2005 finalist from Hawthorne, New York. "It was definitely a memorable experience."
Jeffrey Wright, Bentley associate director of Marketing Programs and Chairman of the Tomorrow25 committee said Bentley is committed to developing leaders of tomorrow. "Many high school students from all over the world have already made an impact on their communities. In the spirit of Bentley's mission to nurture leadership qualities in our own students, we want to recognize high school students who are poised to become the next wave of innovators and change agents," he said.
