COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Jamie O'Donnell, the co-founder of SEO-PR and CEO of Newsforce, will discuss the optimized press release at Business Wire's event, "Technology and Public Relations Innovations: Past, Present and Future." The California SEO firm executive is a speaker on the panel being held on Oct. 25, from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., at the Hilton in Costa Mesa, CA.

According to comScore Media Metrix, Yahoo! News is the top general news, with close to 31.1 million unique visitors in July 2006. AOL News ranked #3 in the category, with more than 22.1 million unique visitors that month, while Google News had almost 8.3 million unique visitors.

O'Donnell says, "When people conduct a news search, they often find recent and relevant press releases along with articles in the results." According to a report from Outsell, press releases have leapfrogged over trade publications to become the top news source of knowledge workers.

The California SEO firm exec adds, "If your company's marketing and public relations strategy includes the Internet, it's time to take a closer look at the optimized press release, news distribution and public relations measurement."

SEO-PR (http://www.seo-pr.com) is a search engine optimization and public relations firm that pioneered the optimized press release. The California SEO firm's clients include The Christian Science Monitor, ClickTracks, the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), Verizon SuperPages.com, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. SEO-PR and Southwest Airlines won the 2005 Golden Ruler of Measurement Award from the Institute for Public Relations and PR News for "using new media and new techniques to tie public relations to sales."

SEO-PR has also joined forces with SiteLab International and Primero Systems to back Newsforce (http://www.newsforce.com), a developer of news search engine optimization software. Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway company, and Newsforce recently announced a strategic partnership to provide Newsforce's integrated suite of press release SEO tools to Business Wire members.
