Business Wire, Oct 23, 2006
Attendance, Show Floor Space, Sponsorships and International and F&B Exhibitors All Experience Significant Growth
LAS VEGAS -- Though Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2006 is still three weeks away, early registration numbers for the event indicate a noteworthy 35 percent increase in pre-registration figures echoed by incredible growth in show floor exhibit space, event sponsorships, international and food and beverage (F&B) exhibitors, and conference pre-registration figures. G2E 2006 will take place Nov. 14-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
"G2E has attracted an increasing number of international gaming professionals each year, and our early numbers for G2E 2006 indicate this in fact may be one of the best years for growth in the history of the event," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association. "More than anything, this growth demonstrates how important G2E continues to be to gaming professionals as they seek to build the professional relationships and gain the knowledge they need to make their businesses even more successful."
The overall growth of G2E 2006 is evident in many areas, such as:
* A 14 percent increase in exhibitor square footage on the main show floor, including significant increases for the Security and Technology exhibit pavilions;
* 54 percent growth in event sponsorships;
* A 20 percent increase among international exhibitors;
* 11 percent more exhibitors in 35 percent more square feet on the F&B at G2E show floor; and
* A 15 percent increase in pre-registration for the G2E conference.
G2E is the leading trade event for the worldwide gaming entertainment community, attended by more than 26,000 industry professionals from around the world. For more information on G2E or to register for group or early bird discounts, visit the Web site at www.globalgamingexpo.com.
