LexisNexis Group Establishes Scholarship for Martindale-Hubbell Executive

Solutions Provider Teams with the International Bar Association to Honor Long-Time Contributor

NEW YORK -- LexisNexis Group, a global leading provider of information and services solutions announced today it has established the Louis F. Duffy Scholarship to honor Duffy for his many years of exemplary service to LexisNexis([R]) and the International Bar Association (IBA). LexisNexis is a member of the Reed Elsevier Group plc, a world-leading publisher and information provider.

"By establishing a scholarship in Lou's name, we recognize his tremendous positive influence on countless IBA attorneys to date, and his many contributions to LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell over an amazing 50-year career."

The Louis F. Duffy Scholarship will help young attorneys from developing countries participate in the IBA's Distance Learning Program. The IBA program is designed specifically to meet the needs of lawyers wishing to practice internationally.

"Over many years Lou Duffy has contributed to the IBA in numerous ways. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to honor him and all that he has done for the Association in his inimitable way," said Mark Ellis, IBA executive director. "This scholarship in his name is both deserving and fitting."

Duffy is the LexisNexis([R]) Martindale-Hubbell([R]) liaison with the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Balkan States Bar Association and the International Trademark Association. He is a current member of the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Legal Advisory Board and a former member of the Advisory Council of the United States National Judicial College.
