The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) is pleased to announce its 2007 Board of Directors responsible for the SNIA worldwide. The SNIA's membership elected the Board of Directors at the beginning of October, and the Board elected their Executive Committee officers today at this fall's Storage Networking World conference being held in Orlando, Florida.
"In pursuing our mission to advance the adoption of storage networks as complete and trusted solutions, our board of directors and the SNIA as a whole made strong progress over the last year. In 2007 the board will remain focused on pursuing activities for our association's strategic initiatives such as standards development, educational offerings, industry alliances and increasing storage industry awareness. The SNIA will continue exploring new avenues to empower IT users to manage enterprise information. Our close collaboration with the SNIA End User Council and SNIA affiliates around the world to ensure global growth will be key to our success in the year to come," said Vincent Franceschini, chairman of the board of the SNIA.
