Business Wire, Oct 5, 2006

SAN DIEGO -- Oberthur Card Systems, the leading smart card suppliers to the Government ID Market, has taken the lead on supplying ID cards to the federal government. The company's TotalIDOne offer is a dual interface smart card and personalization solution that is being supplied to more than half of the cabinet level agencies in the federal government.

"Our TotalIDOne solution is being applied to a variety of identification needs throughout the federal government. We are the only company that has vertical integration capabilities and complete centralized ID management package - a critical need for today's ID market space," said Patrick W. Hearn, Director, Government & ID Markets for Oberthur Card Systems.

Oberthur Card Systems is the only U.S. Company offering an identification ID solution that includes smart card manufacturing, personalization, fulfillment and activation services, as well as the exclusive rights to the card software applets. All Oberthur Card Systems smart card products provided to the government market are FIPS 140-2 certified and FIPS 201 compliant, which is a requirement for any ID card product sold to the U.S. Federal Government. In addition to the manufacturing and personalization services that are critical to TotalIDOne, Oberthur provides carrier attachment, PIN activation services, and back-up personalization facilities that are ISO 9000 compliant.

"Oberthur Card Systems is focused on meeting and exceeding the highest standards required by the U.S. government and is uniquely skilled at high-speed, secure production and the service efficiency critical to the successful implementation of these programs," continued Hearn.
