Recall Expanded to Cover All "Best If Used By" Dates

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Unilever of Englewood Cliffs, N.J., is voluntarily recalling all production codes of its "Knorr[R] - Lipton[R] Pasta Sides[TM] ChickenCoFettuccini in a Savory Chicken Flavored Sauce" product, because it may contain undeclared milk. The affected product is packaged in 4.3oz. (121 g) pouches marked with UPC # 4100002246 on the bottom right-hand side of the back of the pouch. This expands a recall of this product previously announced on October 3, 2006.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. The company is also issuing an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.

"Knorr[R] - Lipton[R] Pasta Sides[TM] ChickenCoFettuccini in a Savory Chicken Flavored Sauce" was distributed nationwide, and reached consumers through retail stores, club stores and dollar stores. The affected product is being recalled from consumers and retailer store shelves, back rooms and warehouses.

One confirmed adverse reaction has been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after the company received a consumer complaint and it was discovered that product containing milk was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk in the ingredient list on the label.

Consumers who have purchased 4.3 oz (121 g) packages of "Knorr[R] - Lipton[R] Pasta Sides[TM] ChickenCoFettuccini in a Savory Chicken Flavored Sauce" with UPC # 4100002246 are urged to discard it immediately and contact the company at 1-866-839-7162 for a full refund.
