A.M. Best's E-Fusion Podcast Explores Online Video With Rick Gilman of Acord

Business Wire, Sept 11, 2006

OLDWICK, N.J. -- The latest edition of A.M. Best's E-Fusion Podcast takes a look at online video with Rick Gilman of Acord, which has launched an aggressive worldwide communications effort based around use of online video.

Producing high-quality video for online communications is hard work and doesn't come cheap, but it is effective, Gilman reports. He also describes how Acord developed its program, the investment its made in the platform and how it's important to address more than a narrow subject area. Gilman will dive deeper into the topic when he appears as part of a panel focused on rich media at A.M. Best's E-Fusion Conference, set for Oct. 23-24 in Boston.

The two-day E-Fusion Conference focuses on developments in insurance technology, insurance issues and operations. Part of the conference involves finalists making presentations for the E-Fusion Awards. The awards, which are independently judged, seek to recognize innovative uses of insurance technology.

In conjunction with the conference, A.M. Best Co. has launched a new podcast series focused on insurance technology and the E-Fusion Conference. The audio series covers technology developments, conference details and the E-Fusion Awards. Each episode includes an interview with a technology leader associated with the E-Fusion Conference.
