NEEDHAM, Mass. -- Cantata Technology(TM), the world's leading independent provider of enabling communications technology, announced today it has released a new version of its popular IMG 1010 Integrated Media and Signaling Gateway (IMG 1010(TM)), which expands its Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) feature set to encompass the requirements of advanced VoIP service providers for wholesale traffic, as well as enhanced SIP services.

Cantata's IMG 1010 is an integrated media and signaling gateway that provides any-to-any network connectivity, enabling delivery of SIP services into legacy SS7/PRI networks, as well as IP to IP transcoding for IP network peering applications.
