Picsel PDF Viewer Launches on Palm Treo 700wx; Picsel's PDF Viewer Delivers Next Generation User Experience On Palm Treo 700wx
Business Wire, Sept 12, 2006
GLASGOW, Scotland & LOS ANGELES -- Picsel Technologies, a dynamic mobile platform provider that brings mobile content to life, today announced its dynamic Picsel PDF Viewer technology has been launched on the new Palm(R) Treo(TM) 700wx smartphone - one of the highest end mobile devices available on the market. Picsel's PDF Viewer provides an intuitive experience that makes viewing files on a small screen both usable and enjoyable.
The future of mobility will reach a critical mass when mobile applications are presented in a clear, visually stunning and usable manner. Picsel's PDF Viewer makes it possible to access and navigate PDF documents on the Treo 700wx similar to viewing a PDF on a personal computer, but enables intuitive Zoom and Pan interaction for state-of-the-art viewing on a small screen.
Imran Khand, Chief Executive Officer for Picsel stated: "The ability to appreciate a complete document without losing the concept of its layout is of special benefit to the mobile workforce. Embedding Picsel PDF Viewer in the Treo 700wx gives users the ability to take PDF files out of the office, thus accommodating for the constant flexibility and accessibility that today's mobile user expects from a multipurpose device."
The Treo 700wx, which runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition, combines a great mobile phone -- comprising all the functionality and ease of use for which Treo smartphones are known -- with the power and security of Windows Mobile favored by many businesses.
Picsel technology is currently shipping on more than 40 million devices worldwide and has developed a rich mobile ecosystem spanning the U.S., Europe, India and the Asia Pacific regions.
