TimeSys Introduces Authorized Systems Integration Partner Program; Expands Authorized Support and Service Partner Program; Supports Embedded Linux System Integrators; New ASSP Partners Announced for France, Italy, Korea, Taiwan

Business Wire, Sept 14, 2006

PITTSBURGH -- TimeSys(R) Corporation, the leading developer service provider for the embedded Linux market, today announced the launch of a global Authorized Systems Integration Partner (ASIP) program to enable system integrators to provide compelling embedded device solutions to their customers through the use of LinuxLink by TimeSys. Additionally, TimeSys expanded its Authorized Support and Service Partner (ASSP) program to meet worldwide demand for LinuxLink, the first commercial offering to support the majority of embedded Linux developers who build and assemble their own commercial-grade custom Linux platform.

ASIP partners are system integrators who use LinuxLink as their foundation for embedded Linux development so more of their time can be spent designing innovative solutions. ASIP partners can leverage LinuxLink to get access to tools for developing and compiling applications, as well as a repository of hundreds of cross-compiled packages. They also have access to TimeSys resources and engineers to provide guidance during their project. All this helps them design solutions that use the latest technology, while keeping costs low and improving time to market for their customers.

Alongside the program launch partners, TimeSys is proving that LinuxLink has changed the model for embedded Linux development. System integrators, like other TimeSys customers, no longer need to choose between spending large amounts of time upfront to build a distribution from scratch and spending large amounts of money for a specific commercial distribution with inflexible support options. LinuxLink by TimeSys gives them the tools needed to quickly get up and running, without the high cost of other commercial solutions.

"Joining the ASIP program makes perfect sense for Proelec," said Hagan Grip, Managing Director of Proelec. "LinuxLink reduces our development time and provides the flexibility we need for our projects."

"As a systems software development company, Nucleodyne Systems believes that TimeSys, with its unique model for providing the infrastructure for Linux based software development, provides an efficient framework for us to collaborate directly with our clients and provide services and solutions for developing and integrating various products in the embedded market," said Kallol Biswas of Nucleodyne Systems.

More information about the ASIP program can be found at http://www.timesys.com/partners/asip.htm.> "The ASIP program delivers a unique value, combining highly capable system integrators and the rich set of content and tools available from TimeSys," said Larry Weidman, President and CEO of TimeSys. "With this program, companies looking for service providers for their embedded device projects can still benefit from the advantages of LinuxLink."

Initial members of the Authorized Systems Integration Partner (ASIP) Program include:

Nucleodyne Systems is a system software development services company with core competence in embedded systems development, custom board bring-up, low level kernel subsystem development and device driver development on PPC, ARM, MIPS, and X86 processors.

Proelec AB provides consulting and professional services for real-time operating systems and embedded Linux. Proelec also provides services within software and hardware design. Their mission is to provide added value to their customers from idea to production and maintenance.

SRA OSS offers comprehensive embedded Linux consulting, development, support, testing and training services. SRA's services cover the entire embedded software development life cycle to include architecture, design, development, integration and optimization.

In addition to the new Authorized Systems Integration Partner (ASIP) Program, the following three new partners have joined the Authorized Support and Service Partner (ASSP) Program. These partners deliver comprehensive, native-language sales, support and value added-services to LinuxLink subscribers. The continued growth of this program validates the worldwide popularity of LinuxLink and demonstrates the continued grow of TimeSys. With these new partners, customers around the world can easily get access to the tools needed to develop a commercial-grade Linux platform, along with support from a trusted company in their region. More information about the ASSP program can be found at http://www.timesys.com/partners/authorized.htm.> Antycip joins TimeSys by selling and supporting LinuxLink by TimeSys to embedded Linux developers in France and Italy.
