Home Theater Grows to New Heights at Pioneer Exhibit in Mile High City
Business Wire, Sept 14, 2006
DENVER -- Home theater professionals are in heaven this week as manufacturers, including Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., showcase their latest wares at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo in Denver. Pioneer is showcasing its premium line of Elite(R) products at Booth #356, including new gear that makes it easier for home theater professionals to install and network Pioneer products in a system throughout the home. Pioneer's new products feature advanced customization that allows an installer to tune the system precisely for individual homes. It also can be networked to allow play back of home videos, digital photos and music from their personal computer.
Pioneer's CEDIA Expo booth #356 will feature:
--Three Pioneer Elite PureVision(TM) plasma televisions featuring Pioneer's exclusive Home Media Gallery. Rather than gathering everyone around a computer monitor, this feature allows users direct access to movies, music and photos stored on a networked PC or any other DLNA compliant device for immediate viewing on the plasma in stunning HD quality.
--The 42", 50" and 60" plasma TVs are ISFccc Calibration Ready allowing certified custom installers to customize picture contrast, tint and color, as well as to optimize the display for day and night viewing.
--Four Pioneer Elite A/V Receivers with multi-room, multi-source capability allowing the receiver to act as the HD control center for several rooms. The new receivers possess Advanced MCACC, Pioneer's proprietary room tuning feature, as well as enhanced music connectivity options for iPod(R), XM(R) Satellite Radio, and a PC port for MP3 files.
--A new dimension in HD with the world's first 50" 1080p plasma display and the highly anticipated Blu-ray Disc(TM) player. The Pioneer Elite(R) BDP-HD1 is the first and only Blu-ray Disc player to feature home networking capabilities with Home Media Gallery, giving users direct access to high definition content in their computer for immediate viewing on a HDTV.
--An intimate sound room outfitted with Pioneer's exceptional EX Series speakers.
As part of the cocooning of America that began in the late 1990s, the integration of a home theater became a standard for most upscale homes. The result is a cottage industry of professionals who have become the fourth contractor in the building and remodeling industries alongside electrical, plumbing and HVAC professionals. The 3,000 members of CEDIA are primarily small businesses with strong relationships with the manufacturers whose goods they install.
"Our passion lies in creating the ultimate HD home theater experience, and we accomplish that goal by developing best-in-class products and technologies," said Russ Johnston, senior vice president of marketing and product planning for home entertainment at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. "We recognize that every home theater is different, and the customization and connectivity features incorporated in our audio and video products analyze and optimize a room's layout to ensure the best possible reproduction of movies, music, photos and more. If we can do all that and make it easier for professional installers, we've done our job well."
