Atempo CTO, Brian Olson, to Present Desktop & Laptop Backup Strategies at Storage World Conference

Business Wire, Sept 14, 2006

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Atempo, Inc., the leader in data protection and storage security for trusted information lifecycle management (ILM), today announced that Atempo CTO, Brian Olson, will present next week at Storage World Conference in Boston. Olson will join other industry experts on the SWC panel "Bridging the Backup Gap -- Desktop/Laptop Strategies and Solutions" on Thursday, September 21st from 9 a.m. to 9:55 a.m.

"Protecting the laptop data created by mobile professionals has historically been a daunting and often neglected element of organizations' data protection strategies. Without the safety net of laptop backups, mobile professionals are at great risk of losing their most valuable tools -- the irreplaceable and confidential data stored on their laptops," said Olson. "Continuous Data Protection technology offers the key to automatic and transparent backups, and will encourage the widespread adoption of desktop and laptop backup."

Atempo's offering for desktop and laptop backup is the award-winning Atempo LiveBackup solution, which features transparent Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology. The software works automatically without interfering with end-user productivity. LiveBackup provides self-serve file recovery, comprehensive disaster recovery tools and operates in lights-out mode, requiring little IT supervision.
