Entellium Wins Market Leader Award from CRM Magazine; Preeminent Magazine for Customer Relationship Management Recognizes Entellium Hosted CRM as Leader in Boosting Sales Force Effectiveness
Business Wire, Sept 19, 2006
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Entellium today announced that it has won a 2006 Market Leader Award in the Sales Force Automation category from CRM Magazine, the leading publication of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) industry. Entellium was recognized for its innovative approach to usability, which has been shown to boost both sales team effectiveness and revenue, and for its strong reputation for customer support.
The award was announced here Monday evening at the annual destinationCRM 2006 conference for CRM professionals. The 2006 CRM Market Awards honor the individuals and companies that stand above the rest in customer relationship management as a result of their significant influence, innovation, or accomplishments.
"Entellium has really carved out a niche in SFA with an intense focus on usability," Rob Bois, a research director at AMR Research, is quoted as saying in the most recent issue of CRM Magazine. "With the new (Windows Vista) client, Entellium has one of the more elegant user interfaces in the SaaS domain."
The past year has been one of explosive growth for Entellium as small and midsize businesses have embraced CRM as a way to increase sales performance and enhance customer service. While undergoing rapid expansion, the company continued to make a major investment in research and development to even further raise the usability bar.
These efforts were rewarded with the June Entellium eDesktop release, a downloadable "smart client" that points the way toward a quantum leap in user effectiveness and productivity. It addresses many of the usability problems inherent in browser-based applications. Available as a free download, Entellium eDesktop provides a new front end to Entellium's core CRM functionality. This lets users get more done in less time, and to keep working whether they are online or offline.
As part of the eDesktop release, the company also introduced Entellium eMobile, a wireless application that puts the power of sales force automation under one thumb on a smart phone. Entellium is the first on-demand CRM provider to design its own wireless CRM application, avoiding the use of generic third-party mobile middleware. The result is a highly usable mobile application that doesn't take a step backward in functionality.
"Picking one thing that truly matters to customers and doing it really well has been our ticket to success," said Paul Johnston, Entellium's chief executive officer. "We recognized early on that SFA wasn't being held back by lack of functionality, but rather a lack of usability, especially in the mid-market. While winning awards such as the CRM Market Leader is certainly gratifying, the real victory comes when customers see game-changing results from our solutions."
The CRM Market Leader award recognizes the top vendors in eight categories. Winners were selected based on weighted criteria that include revenue, revenue growth, market share, customer satisfaction, depth of functionality and company direction.
"Congratulations to this year's award recipients. Their hard work this past year has helped organizations streamline many of their business processes and significantly improve their customer relationship efforts," said David Myron, editor-in-chief, CRM Magazine.
