Bentley Opens New Season of ''Break into the Biz of Baseball'' Program With Red Sox and MLB.com; Five Internships Available with Red Sox, Mets, Phillies, White Sox and Giants in Summer 2007

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Five high school students will break into the Major Leagues next summer, courtesy of Bentley College. Bentley and Major League Baseball.com (MLB.com) are sponsoring season three of the "Break Into the Biz of Baseball" challenge, in which five high school students from across America win a one-month internship next summer in the offices of the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants. Students will work behind the scenes and learn the ins-and-outs of running an MLB team in areas such as marketing, promotion and media.
HOW IT WORKS
Contestants visit any of the five team websites, complete an entry form and submit a 50-100 word essay (not to exceed 100 words) explaining why he or she should be chosen to win the internship. Prizes will be given to the first and second runner up in each market. Bentley and the teams will judge and choose winners based on originality, creativity, passion, interest in business, and clarity.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Current high school students (freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior) between the ages of 13-18.
DEADLINES
The promotion will continue until October 15, 2006 to coincide with the final portion of the MLB season. Winners will be notified on or about February 1, 2007.
