Daniel Lagani Named President of the Fairchild Fashion Group

NEW YORK -- Daniel Lagani has been named President of the Fairchild Fashion Group, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President and C.E.O. of Conde Nast Publications. Mr. Lagani is currently vice president & publisher of the Conde Nast Bridal Group. This new position will now oversee WWD, DNR, Footwear News, WWD.com, Fairchild Summits, Fairchild Books, and Fairchild Classified. Mr. Lagani's appointment is effective immediately and he will continue to report to Mitchell B. Fox, Group President and Publishing Director of Conde Nast.

"Dan's broad business experience and sharp acumen makes him a perfect choice to run this segment of our company," Townsend said. "The Fairchild Fashion Group offers continued growth possibilities as we consider our business globally."

Mr. Lagani joined Conde Nast in March 2005 as the vice president & publisher of the Bridal Group, which includes the leading bridal magazines: Brides, Modern Bride, and Elegant Bride. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Lagani was vice president & publisher of Better Homes and Gardens from 2002-2005. Previously, Mr. Lagani was the vice president & publisher of Ladies' Home Journal, publisher of George, and the associate publisher of both Conde Nast Traveler and New Woman.

Mr. Lagani graduated from the State University of New York in Oneonta and lives in Westchester with his wife and their two children.

Conde Nast Publications, a unit of Advance Publications, includes twenty-seven consumer magazines and their websites, six uniquely branded web sites, the Fairchild Fashion Group, Parade, the Conde Nast Media Group, and the Shared Services Centers.
