SAN FRANCISCO -- SEO specialist Jamie O'Donnell will discuss press release optimization at a Business Wire event, "100 Years of the Press Release: PR Past, Present and Future." O'Donnell, the co-founder of SEO-PR and CEO of Newsforce, is a speaker on the panel being held at The Bankers Club, Bay Room, 555 California Street in San Francisco on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

According to Nielsen//NetRatings, Yahoo! News is the top online destination for current events and global news, with a unique audience of more than 27.4 million in June 2006. AOL News had a unique audience of 16.0 million and Google News had a unique audience of 8.5 million in June 2006, respectively making them the #4 and #13 online news sites.

O'Donnell says, "When people conduct a news search, they often find recent and relevant press releases along with articles in the results." According to a report from Outsell, press releases have leapfrogged over trade publications to become the top news source of knowledge workers.

The SEO specialist adds, "If your company's marketing and public relations strategy includes the Internet, it's time to take a closer look at press release optimization, distribution and measurement."

SEO-PR is a search engine optimization and public relations firm specializing in press release optimization. The firm's clients include The Christian Science Monitor, ClickTracks, the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), Verizon SuperPages.com, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Jamie O'Donnell has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and online marketing. The SEO specialist has been named by Larry Chase's Web Digest for Marketers to its "Who's Who in SEO Experts," and O'Donnell has been called "a measurement maven" by KDPaine's The Measurement Standard.
