Business Wire, Sept 27, 2006
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Lucid8 LLC, the company that optimizes space, reliability, efficiency and recoverability for Microsoft Exchange Server databases, today announced that its Enterprise System Protector[TM] (ESP) and its associated component applications has been certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise Editions. Certification testing was conducted by VeriTest[R], the testing service of Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq: LIOX), and the authorized testing provider for Microsoft's "Certified for Windows" program.
"Assurance of compatibility with existing softwareCoparticularly an operating systemCohas huge value," said Troy Werelius, CEO of Lucid8. "This valuable certification from Microsoft assures our customers that ESP and its component applications have higher reliability than non-certified alternatives. Higher reliability means more up-time and lower overall cost of ownershipCotwo big pluses for customers."
Enterprise System Protector's DigiVault application provides minute-to-minute protection of the Microsoft Exchange databases to deliver unprecedented levels of protection from Exchange data loss and corruption. The primary application module within the ESP Suite, DigiVault is a key component of Lucid8's next generation of online Exchange disaster prevention and optimization.
"In order to experience the lowest total cost of ownership and highest degree of reliability, it is critical for IT decision makers to choose Windows certified applications when building their enterprise solutions," said Steve Nemzer, Vice President, Global Development and Testing Solutions Lionbridge. "Windows certification provides independent, trusted proof that Lucid8's Enterprise System Protector and its associated component applications meet Microsoft's rigorous standards for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise Editions."
Lucid8's Enterprise System Protector Suite for Exchange combines the company's GOexchange and DigiVault applications for a powerful continuous data protection solution with automated maintenance and optimization for Microsoft Exchange. Organizations that currently use nightly or weekly backup policies have exposed themselves to unnecessary risk of data loss. DigiVault was developed to address this data loss window by providing organizations that use Exchange with a cost-effective system to provide Continuous Data Protection (CDP) of their critical e-mail data. The Lucid8 ESP Suite's DigiVault tracks changes to the Exchange database and stores these incremental changes as they are committed to the database. This ensures that the organization's e-mail is continually protected and, as well, substantially reduces potential data loss and downtime. Working in tandem with DigiVault, ESP Suite's GOexchange delivers disaster prevention and database optimization. This suite of products provides the only automated disaster prevention, optimization, protection and rapid recovery solution for Microsoft Exchange, ensuring optimal uptime of Exchange Servers as well as the integrity of e-mail data.
"As the world's leading provider of solutions that optimize space, reliability, efficiency and recoverability for Microsoft Exchange, Lucid8 is proud to add Windows 2003 certification to the long list of selling points for Enterprise System Protector," said Troy Werelius, CEO of Lucid8. "This certification provides Microsoft customers with the assurance that Enterprise System Protector and its associated component application can effectively address their increasingly complex requirements for Exchange servers deployed on the Windows 2003 platform."
Lucid8's Enterprise System Protector Suite met the tough requirements imposed by Microsoft to receive certification under the rigorous Microsoft Certification Program, which was designed by Microsoft to improve the experience of its customers using 3rd party applications. Certification for Windows Server 2003 is based on a rigid technical standard which verifies that business critical applications are secure, manageable, and reliable when running on the operating system.
