Oxford Semiconductor Names Former Renesas COO David Schwartz as Vice President of Sales

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Oxford Semiconductor, a supplier of complete FireWire and USB-based connectivity solutions for the rapidly growing consumer electronics, storage, audio and add-on card markets has announced the appointment of David Schwartz to the position of Vice President of Sales. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. William Mackenzie, Mr. Schwartz will be tasked with taking the company to the next level by running worldwide sales and introducing Oxford's strong portfolio of Storage and Connectivity Solutions to market.
Mr. Schwartz formerly served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Chief Operating Officer of Renesas, a manufacturer of many kinds of semiconductors, including discrete devices, ASIC's, microprocessors, and analog and memory chips. Prior to Renesas, Schwartz served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Mitsubishi Electronics America. Schwartz spent over 10 years with Mitsubishi Electronics and nearly 10 years with Motorola Semiconductor, ending in the position of Account Manager.
Mr. Schwartz was introduced to Oxford Semiconductor through executive search firm Lonergan Partners. Lonergan Partners focuses on general management and board director search in the technology markets and is headquartered in the Silicon Valley.
Commenting upon Schwartz's appointment, CEO William Mackenzie, said, "We are pleased to have David join the company. Schwartz holds an MBA from Farleigh Dickenson University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Pratt Institute.
