The magicolor 2490MF delivers prints and copies at a snappy 20 black and white or 5 color pages per minute. Black-and-white scans are completed in only 4 seconds and 24-bit color scans in only 10 seconds. With 128 MB of RAM on board, even complex jobs are processed quickly. The magicolor 2490MF also provides Super G3 fax capability, which sends and receives fax documents at up to 33.6 Kbps.

Outstanding Color Prints, Copies, Scans, and Photos
With the magicolor 2490MF, it is easy to produce impressive, laser-quality color prints, copies, scans, fax documents, and photos. Featuring 2400 x 600 dpi print quality and KONICA MINOLTA Simitri(R) Polymerized Toner, the magicolor 2490MF generates vibrant colors, crisp text, detailed graphics, smooth halftones, and realistic photographs, regardless of the media type used. Uniformly sized toner particles and rigorous quality control ensure that Simitri Polymerized Toner cartridges provide consistent, accurate color. In addition, enhanced Automatic Image Density Control (eAIDC) automatically calibrates the print engine for optimal color quality.
Documents and photos can be scanned in detailed 24-bit color over the network directly to email for sharing with one or more recipients throughout the world. Customers can also scan hard copies to a PC with ScanSoft PaperPort SE from Nuance and then annotate or edit them; save them in PDF, JPEG, or TIFF format; or convert them to editable text using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature. Both the flatbed glass and the standard automatic document feeder support documents up to legal size (8.5" x 14").
