ChannelAdvisor Announces Strategic Alliance With Interapptive/Shipworks
Business Wire, Sept 5, 2006
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- ChannelAdvisor, the leading provider of channel management solutions (CMS) and Interapptive, the leading provider of e-commerce shipping solutions, announced today that the companies have formed a strategic alliance. The arrangement allows ChannelAdvisor customers to use ShipWorks to streamline their post-sale processes. In addition, Interapptive's shipping and order management software will integrate directly with ChannelAdvisor's Merchant(TM) Platform.
With this partnership, ChannelAdvisor customers will be able to download orders into ShipWorks, print shipping labels, provide tracking numbers to buyers, and update the status of orders within ChannelAdvisor. In addition, ChannelAdvisor customers will be able to manage and ship their orders by using ShipWorks built-in support for FedEx, USPS, and UPS while eliminating the need to cut and paste, re-key, and export order information. ShipWorks also provides customers with tools to manage customer service, order processing, and business reporting.
"For the first time, ChannelAdvisor Merchant customers can begin leveraging the powerful fulfillment capabilities of ShipWorks," says Wes Clayton, President of Interapptive. "We are excited to offer ShipWorks compatibility with the ChannelAdvisor system, and we look forward to working with ChannelAdvisor customers to help them achieve further efficiency during the post-sale process."
"One of the common hurdles faced by SMBs when ramping up their online businesses is the ability to handle a significant increase in back-office logistics," says Scot Wingo, Chief Executive Officer of ChannelAdvisor. "By partnering with Interapptive, our customers have another competitive advantage."
"I was thrilled to find out about ShipWorks integrating into ChannelAdvisor's Merchant system," says Hallie Burchinal, President of La Retro Boutique. "ShipWorks saves me so much time on shipping that it gives me a lot more time for what's important to me: increasing my sales growth, and taking care of my customers."
A 30-day free trial of ShipWorks is offered to all ChannelAdvisor Merchant customers. After the trial period, customers pay a monthly fee that automatically adjusts based on shipment volume.
To learn more about ShipWorks and how to get started, ChannelAdvisor is offering an interactive webinar for customers and prospects which will be Wednesday, September 13th at 2:00pm ET. Sign up is available at http://www.channeladvisor.com/webinars.
