VoIP's Wholly-owned subsidiary VoiceOne's Clck4Me Service Featured in Today's Chicago Sun Times; Recognition For Innovative VoIP Service Continues to Build Ahead of Upcoming Launch
Business Wire, Sept 6, 2006
ORLANDO, Fla. -- VoIP, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VOII), a leading provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications solutions for service providers, resellers and consumers, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary VoiceOne(TM) Communications, LLC.'s new VoIP platform Click4Me is featured in the Technology section of today's Chicago Sun Times in an article titled, "International calls free? Works for me."
In the story, written by Business Reporter Howard Wolinsky, the writer favorably compares the Company's "alpha" version of international calling from Click4Me, a soon-to-be-launched service from VoIP's wholly-owned subsidiary to other service providers. In the article, the author tried several of the services and noted that, "...I've had trouble persuading my cousins to sign up for Skype. Typically, I've called them on Skype Out service, which connects computers to land lines or cell phones at cheap rates, such as 2 cents per minute to London or Paris, and 3 cents per minute to Tel Aviv. I was looking for a better way. And Click4Me has it."
The article also noted that the Company intends to support itself through an innovative source of revenue. "VoiceOne aims to support itself -- and free or cheap calls -- with corporate sponsors. For example, a pizza chain could send an e-mail to targeted customers with an ad that says "click here" and puts a phone call through to order a pizza and use a coupon."
"We are pleased that leading publications such as the Chicago Sun Times have recognized the potential that Click4Me has to change the nature of the VoIP industry," said Shawn Lewis, VoIP Inc.'s Chief Technology Officer. "Despite the fact that we have not yet launched Click4Me, it has already generated substantial interest from the advertisers, the media and industry publications due to its unique platform. We look forward to launching the service shortly."
