iET Solutions' ITSM 4.0 Achieves Pink Elephant's Pink Verify™ Service Support Enhanced Verification; Leading Service Management Tool Helps to Support IT Management Best Practices
Business Wire, Sept 7, 2006
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- iET Solutions (www.iet-solutions.com) announced today that its ITSM 4.0 offering for complete IT service management has been verified by IT management best practices leader Pink Elephant through its PinkVerify(TM) Service Support Enhanced certification program.
PinkVerify is the only worldwide certification program that recognizes software that supports the definitions and workflow requirements of critical IT management processes through a licensed logo. To achieve PinkVerify Service Support Enhanced status, a product must meet Pink Elephant's mandatory functional requirements for IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) compatibility in the Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management processes and at least one of the following three ITIL processes: Availability, Release and Service Level Management. iET ITSM 4.0 is compatible with the four initial ITIL processes, in addition to Release and Service Level Management.
"We are delighted that iET Solutions has achieved PinkVerify Service Support Enhanced status for iET ITSM 4.0," said David Ratcliffe, president of Pink Elephant. "The compatibility with six ITIL processes demonstrates significant commitment to the ITIL model by iET Solutions. The minimum requirement for this level of certification is compatibility with five processes."
"iET ITSM 4.0 reflects our determination to surpass traditional IT service management offerings by incorporating core ITIL processes like release management and comprehensively enhancing others like configuration management," said Michael Scheib, president and CEO of iET Solutions. "We are committed to offering a tool set that supports IT service management best practices and this verification by Pink Elephant is evidence of this."
Developed in close cooperation with its customers and partners, iET ITSM 4.0 offers enhanced front-office service desk functions tightly integrated with back-office functions including release, configuration and change management to empower IT managers to be more proactive with their service management infrastructure. Built on ITIL standards, iET ITSM 4.0 supports the process-oriented and cost-effective delivery of IT services. The product was designed to help IT managers better roll out changes and releases to their existing infrastructure and identify the root cause of incidents to quickly resolve problems and prevent recurring incidents related to these errors. After its first certification in 2004, this re-certification confirms that the new application in iET ITSM, release management, is in alignment with the IT Infrastructure Library.
