OAUG Co-Hosts COLLABORATE 07

User Groups Come Together to Combine Annual Conferences

ATLANTA -- The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest user knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, co-hosts the COLLABORATE 07: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community conference with the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and Quest International Users Group, April 15 to 19, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The joint event offers Oracle, PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards, Siebel CRM, Oracle Retail, Oracle Communications (formerly Portal Software and MetaSolv Software) and Demantra applications users an occasion to benefit from expanded educational and networking opportunities within the entire Oracle community. The conference features an exhibit hall housing more than 200 leading Oracle-related solution providers and offers more than 800 sessions on Oracle applications and technology. Additionally, Oracle Corp. is sponsoring more than 130 of these sessions.

Oracle President Charles Phillips is the keynote speaker during the event's general session on April 16. Phillips will discuss how Oracle helps customers streamline their business operations, improves access to business information and tackles the key challenges facing organizations today. He will also demonstrate how Oracle continues to innovate value for customers with a preview of the next release of Oracle Database. The conference's second keynote will be delivered by Mark Shearer, IBM general manager, Systems Technology Group, System i. Shearer will focus on case study examples of how IBM's innovative Oracle Applications solutions are delivering results.

A pre- and post-event workshop is scheduled to be held on April 15 and 19, which will highlight the best practices for the implementation of strong internal controls and security in an Oracle Applications environment.
