Independent Research Firm Describes Softscape as Offering All Four Pillars of Strategic Human Capital Management
Business Wire, April 16, 2007
WAYLAND, Mass. -- Softscape, the industry expert in people management technology, today announced that Forrester Research cited Softscape as a vendor who offers a full strategic human capital management (HCM) suite of technology solutions in its May 2007 Learning and Talent Management Join Forces report. Of the 18 vendors included in the report, Softscape is one of only four that have the full HCM offering.
According to Forrester's research, "competitive companies and government agencies have long recognized that human capital is a key asset that could leave at any time, resulting in significant recruitment and retraining costs. In addition, turnover of top performers could weaken a company's competitive position. There is a growing view that learning, performance, rewards, and recruitment are the four related pillars of a strategic HCM philosophy to drive bottom-line business results."
"Forrester's findings mirror what we've been seeing within our own customer base for some time now," said Dave Watkins, chief executive officer, Softscape. "A non-integrated approach to HCM creates a fragmented and inaccurate portrait of a company's workforce. Organizations now realize the value of integrating all HCM functions into a single platform to drive workforce effectiveness. When organizations can more accurately manage human capital processes, they can better retain top performers, improve staff usage, lower costs, and ultimately, improve shareholder value."
Softscape Apex is the industry's most complete people management solution, providing customers with advanced functions for integrated workforce planning, talent acquisition, workforce performance, learning and development, succession planning, enterprise compensation, workforce analytics, collaboration, and HR management - all in a common, integrated platform.
In Learning and Talent Management Join Forces, Forrester says that there are only a few vendors who can claim to have the four pillars of strategic HCM and "Softscape has done a good job in assembling a full strategic HCM suite."
