File-Based HD Workflows, Live Flash, Forensic Watermarking and Graphics Insertion Make Their Debut in the Agility Product Line

LAS VEGAS -- Anystream[R], the market leading provider of digital media production and management solutions, announced today the unveiling of standout additions to its Agility[R] production platform. Leading up the enhancements are faster than real-time HD transcoding, live Flash support, and applications for forensic watermarking and dynamic graphics insertion. The new features debut today at Anystream booth SL2012 at NAB in Las Vegas.

"Anystream's roots are in digital media production. The exciting developments within the Agility product line showcase Anystream's dedication to innovate and improve production workflows," said Russell Zack, Anystream's vice president of products.

Helping content providers serve the exploding demand for HD content, Agility offers new workflows that accelerate media ingest, transformation and distribution. Rounding out its already robust HD offerings, Agility now includes broad support for file-based ingest of Avid DNxHD, DVCPro HD, HDV and Sony XDCAM[R] HD formats along with real-time capture for live and tape-based workflows. Agility reduces the time to ingest XDCAM HD media into Avid environments by as much as six times via integration with Avid Interplay[TM] Transfer, saving hours of editing time. Agility handles transcoding of native file formats from Avid[R] and Apple[R] nonlinear editing systems into play-to-air broadcast formats with support for Grass Valley, Leitch, Omneon, Pinnacle and SeaChange servers.

With live event streaming in the Flash format, Agility expands access to live webcasts by reaching consumers on their preferred platform. Agility improves Flash video image quality and reduces processing time by at least two-fold over previous Flash codec technologies with the integration of the On2 VP6 codec. Leveraging Agility's trademark automation, any number of live channels may be scheduled, monitored and controlled from a central management interface. Live streams are served to content delivery networks while archival versions of webcasts are created in nearly any format for on-demand viewing.

Agility's new watermarking capability safeguards content by automatically monogramming video with imperceptible forensic watermarks during production processes. By associating a unique identifier with descriptive metadata, content providers can trace pirated media assets to the original source.

For content providers who need to personalize outgoing video for advertising, branding and video slate creation, Agility automates the dynamic creation of graphic overlays and animations. This application enables time-sensitive and consumer-specific content to be targeted for the intended destination and delivery mechanism.

"By automating applications like forensic watermarking and dynamic graphics insertion, Agility enables branding and security without adding new, time-consuming steps to the production process," said Zack.

These enhancements, as well as Anystream Velocity's new advertising inventory and management solution, are being demonstrated at booth SL2012 at NAB.
