Digeo® to Advance Performance of its Consumer Digital Media Recorders and IPTV Solutions

U.S. Consumer Product Moxi[TM]HD DMR Adopts Intel[R] CE 2110 Media Processor

BEIJING -- Digeo, Inc. today announced it is collaborating with Intel Corporation to incorporate its powerful, integrated Intel([R]) CE 2110 Media Processor as the basis for Digeo's upcoming Moxi[TM] Multi-Room HD Digital Media Recorder (DMR) and MoxiMate[TM] companion remote DMR system. The Moxi Multi-Room product family, available at retail later in 2007, is the first set of U.S. consumer products to adopt the new Intel media processor.

Both companies will work together to deliver Intel CE 2110 Media Processor-based Moxi solutions to telecommunications companies and IPTV service providers in the U.S. and Asia - a market forecasted by analyst firm Multimedia Research Group to reach US $17 billion by 2010.

The Intel CE 2110 Media Processor's graphics capability and flexibility to handle a broad range of content and services are well-matched to Digeo's industry-acclaimed Moxi user interface and advanced high-definition DMR features. Combined with the Digeo Customer Connection portal, Moxi solutions based on the Intel CE 2110 Media Processor can provide improved performance and enhanced consumer capabilities for IPTV providers.

"As the sources, number of services, and variety of content choices delivered to consumers continue to multiply, the abilities of the equipment to process this content while providing a great user experience becomes ever more challenging," said Greg Gudorf, Digeo President and COO. "In addition to its powerful and capable Intel CE 2110 Media Processor platform, Intel's cooperation will help us expand the possibilities to deliver our Moxi experience to a greater variety of customers."

Market Changes Foster New Innovation, Opportunities

IPTV is rapidly gaining acceptance as a viable alternative for consumers to receive TV programming. Telco service providers worldwide are upgrading their networks to enable transmission of TV content. Industry analyst firm Multimedia Research Group recently forecast that the number of IPTV subscribers worldwide would grow from eight million in 2006 to 50 million - totaling nearly US $17 billion in revenue - by the end of 2010.

To date IPTV set-top box providers have been challenged with delivering an appealing and responsive program guide, and decompressing high definition IP-based video streams in real time on the limited hardware platforms commonly deployed today. The Intel CE 2110 Media Processor is optimized for these advanced applications, yet meets power and cost requirements that make it ideal for next-generation Moxi DMRs and Moxi-based IPTV solutions.

"Intel works with Digeo and the broader CE ecosystem to power new devices and drive new consumer information and entertainment services in the home," said William O. Leszinske, Jr., general manager of Intel's Consumer Electronics Group. "As Digeo aims to deliver a new generation of Moxi high-definition digital media recorders and related services, the Intel CE 2110 Media Processor will provide the performance, flexibility and headroom needed to accelerate those consumer experiences. We look forward to collaborating with Digeo on IPTV initiatives here and abroad, and to collaborating with them on industry-leading technology for their new generation of Moxi products."
