Transparency Software and Estuate Form Partnership to Strengthen Database Auditing and Compliance for Oracle E-Business Suite Users
Business Wire, April 17, 2007
Combined Expertise Will Enhance Functionality for Business Applications and Lower Total Project Costs
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Transparency Software[TM], the leading provider of information policy management solutions for database auditing and compliance, today announced a partnership with Estuate, a global technology services company with proven expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite implementation. Under the partnership, the two companies will develop database auditing and compliance solutions templates for the Oracle E-Business Suite that will provide enhanced functionality and accelerate compliance implementations with lower project costs.
The solutions templates are being built on the Transparency Vision server, which provides business visibility into how E-Business Suite users access corporate information. Transparency Vision automatically discovers and names the transactions that are used within the applications to access the information in databases, providing the business context and visibility needed for successful audit and compliance controls. The templates for Oracle E-Business Suite will provide additional information for identifying and naming critical business transactions, the applications and business processes that they belong to. In addition, pre-configured policy templates will reduce efforts in complying with SOX, PCI, GLBA, and HIPAA compliance standards and regulations.
"Transparency Vision can ensure that audit and compliance standards are being met for Oracle E-Business Suite customers," said Prakash Balebail, CEO and founder of Estuate. "Transparency's automated transaction discovery process combined with our best practices implementation approach will make it significantly easier to develop and implement the business controls needed for compliance."
One of the biggest challenges in audit and compliance projects is gaining the business visibility into who, what, when, where and how of information access. Business executives are being asked to sign compliance documents that potentially expose them to civil and criminal penalties, yet they have no real business visibility into which users, systems and applications are accessing their business information. This is especially true for companies that have integrated legacy systems into their Oracle E-Business environment. Achieving business transparency into how information is being used is the foundation of successful compliance controls.
"We are very excited to be working with Estuate on this project," said Paul Koenig, VP, marketing at Transparency Software. "Estuate was an early install site for our breakthrough transaction discovery technology, Transparency SRT[TM], and together we saw an opportunity to provide business visibility into how users and other applications were utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite information. Estuate's product development expertise and Oracle E-Business implementation experience will really help us as we introduce these templates into the market."
