Business Wire, April 2, 2007
SAN DIEGO -- Dot VN, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Dot VN" or the "Company") (www.DotVN.com), (Pink Sheets:DTVI), an Internet and Telecommunications Company and authorized global domain name registrar (www.VN) for the Country of Vietnam, announced today that the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (the "MOU") relating to the design and implementation of two Internet Data Centers ("IDCs") in Vietnam with Cerelink[R], a Delaware Corporation ("Cerelink").
Cerelink[R] (www.Cerelink.com), founded by former Intel[R] managers in 2004, is a worldwide technical solutions company, which has full time operations in the US and Europe. Cerelink's corporate mission is to find innovative uses of technology that create positive social impacts. Cerelink[R] has partnered with educational institutions, governments, healthcare companies, and private businesses to create unique technical solutions that can eventually be replicated throughout the world.
The three phase MOU with Dot VN provides that Cerelink[R] will assist the Company in forming strategic partnerships to design and build two IDCs which are intended to service foreign businesses located in Vietnam, the Vietnamese government as well as the country's 85,000,000 citizens. The first IDC will be constructed in the southern center of commerce, Ho Chi Minh City (population: 8,000,000) and the second in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi (population: 3,500,000). During Phase One, Cerelink[R] and its corporate partners will travel to Vietnam to survey and evaluate preliminary technical designs and project plans. Following approval of the technical designs and plans, Cerelink[R] will initiate Phase Two which requires implementation of the finalized technical design and coordination of the construction of the two IDCs. Once operational, Dot VN and Cerelink[R] will enter into Phase Three of the MOU, which contemplates the development and implementation of a "troubleshooting" program and refinement/upgrade of both IDCs by Cerelink[R].
This week, Cerelink and its corporate partners will send representatives to Vietnam in connection with the initial phase of the MOU. It is anticipated that each partner will bring to bear their technical expertise, products and services to develop the data center projects into internet and telecommunication hubs which will support and nurture Vietnam's technological growth.
Richard Draper, CEO of Cerelink[R] said, "Cerelink and its technology team are excited about helping Dot VN contribute to Vietnam's economic development. The country's surging growth makes it a prime location to deploy innovative technology solutions. Cerelink is especially pleased that Dot VN shares our values around using the latest technology to make a positive difference in people's lives."
Thomas Johnson, Chairman and CEO of Dot VN added, "We are very excited to have Cerelink[R] as our strategic project management partner in designing, building and implementing state-of-the-art IDC facilities and we look forward to launching these two commercial grade data centers in 2007. In the near term, we expect to drive growth by offering wholesale turnkey internet and telecom packages such as real time online domain name registration, web and server hosting, mission critical data recovery solutions, co-location services, shared and dedicated servers, e-commerce, VoIP and ISP services. However, our goal is to create new technological hubs which will not only provide standard data center services but also serve as the foundation for deployment of additional cutting edge products and services. Dot VN anticipates that Cerelink[R] and its corporate partners will provide us with the latest technology for operating the IDCs, along with new data and telecommunication solutions to power technical development and growth in Vietnam."
