Andrew Named Best Telecom Equipment Supplier by Globe Telecom

WESTCHESTER, Ill. -- Andrew Corporation, a global leader in communications systems and products, has been named by Philippines telecommunications operator Globe Telecom as "best telecom equipment supplier."
The award, presented by Globe Chief Executive Officer and President Gerardo Ablaza Jr. at the recent Globe Telecom Awards in Manila, recognizes Andrew's outstanding performance and invaluable support to Globe Telecom and subsidiary Innove Communications during 2006.
Andrew has supported Globe's wireless network infrastructure requirements since 1998. Globe has deployed Andrew products such as base station antennas, microwave antennas, triplexers, duplexers, and cables and accessories for its 2G and 3G network expansions

Andrew was nominated by Globe Telecom's awards committee, which comprised the heads of department from procurement, logistics, network planning, project management and operations divisions. The award was presented at Globe Telecom's 4th Business Partners meeting, attended by Globe's top 100 suppliers.
The Globe Telecom award is the third such honor received by Andrew this year for its excellence in supporting customers in Asia. The company also was named best partner by ZTE in China and Samsung in South Korea. Andrew also has won best supplier awards from Lucent, Siemens and Nortel in the past two years.
