Penton Media Names John Sweeney as Editor in Chief of Business Finance Magazine

NEW YORK -- Penton Media, Inc. today announced the appointment of John Sweeney as the editor in chief of Business Finance([R]) magazine. In his new position, Sweeney will oversee all editorial content for the monthly print publication and its related online properties. Business Finance is a leading information resource for senior finance executives, providing insight into key finance issues, strategies, trends, and technologies. Sweeney joins Penton Media from Kennedy Information, where he had served as editor in chief of the company's Magazine Media Group since 2003. Previously, he was editor in chief of Consulting Magazine for four years. His experience also includes senior editorial positions at Post-Newsweek Business Information, Inc., CMP International and CMP Media.
