CONNECTIONS™ Announces Special Events for Spring Conference

DALLAS -- Parks Associates and CEA today announced a series of special events, hosted by leading companies in the digital living space, as part of CONNECTIONS[TM]: The Digital Living Conference & Showcase, to be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, May 1-3, 2007.

Now in its eleventh year, CONNECTIONS[TM]: The Digital Living Conference and Showcase, produced by Parks Associates in partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association, is the largest executive conference and showcase dedicated to examining the markets, technologies, and consumer trends for residential and mobile environments.

Pre-show events include Parks Associates' workshop Digital Lifestyles through the Value Chain and Basics of IPTV Seminar, a free educational seminar hosted by Motorola IP Video Solutions. Both will take place Tuesday, May 1.

Digital Lifestyles through the Value Chain (8:45 AM - 4:00 PM) will provide insight, commentary, and forecasts for the major elements of digital living, including communications, entertainment, home controls, fixed and mobile platforms, and new services and applications.

Basics of IPTV Seminar (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) will focus on the building blocks, practical knowledge, and applications necessary to get started in IP Television.

CONNECTIONS[TM] also features multiple special sessions throughout the conference agenda.

Pulse~LINK, Inc., will host the session Making High Definition Home Networks Easy on Wednesday, May 2, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM. This panel will describe HANA's latest progress in simplifying and enhancing the HD experience for consumers. Participating companies are 4HomeMedia, Inc.; HANA; NBC Universal; Parks Associates; Pulse~LINK; Texas Instruments, Inc.; and WJR Consulting Inc.

Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA[TM]) will host Service Providers and the Networked Entertainment Ecosystem on Wednesday, May 2, 5:00-5:45 PM. Speakers will lead an audience-driven discussion on the home networked entertainment ecosystem. Participating companies include Cox Communications; Comcast Corp.; EchoStar Technologies Corp.; and Verizon Communications.

Peak8 Solutions will host Supporting the Digital Lifestyle Experience - The Service Provider's Perspective in the Theatre of the Showcase Area on Wednesday, May 2, 6:00 PM. This panel of service providers will discuss their perspectives on supporting the digital lifestyle experience and the challenges around what has typically been an "out-of-scope" call. Participating companies include Bresnan Communications, EchoStar Satellite LLC, Peak8 Solutions, and Verizon Communications.

HomePlug Powerline Alliance will host Enabling Connected Digital Lifestyles on Thursday, May 3, 10:30-11:30 AM. Speakers will discuss the evolution of powerline technology, its current uses, and what the future has in store. Participating companies include Arkados, Inc.; HomePlug Powerline Alliance; Intel Corp.; Intellon Corporation; Parks Associates; and Texas Instruments.

Texas Instruments is sponsoring the session Future Opportunities: The Next Big Thing, on Thursday, May 3, 2:00-3:00 PM. This session will feature industry leaders sharing their thoughts on future opportunities in the digital living industries. Participants to be announced.
