Collaboration Provides Telecom Equipment Manufacturers with High-Quality, Cost-Effective Solution for Expediting Deployment of Fixed Mobile Convergence Systems

Continuous Computing's Trillium([R]) software coupled with Mindspeed's High-Level Data Link Controller (HDLC) products will offer telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) a single source through which to meet customer demand for a cost-effective and easy-to-implement hardware / software solution. These devices are well-suited for fixed mobile convergence (FMC) applications requiring low risk and rapid implementation, such as Voice over IP (VoIP) enabled media gateways, signaling gateways and 3G wireless network equipment.

Integration of Trillium SS7 protocol software with Mindspeed's state-of-the-art HDLC technology addresses a major industry challenge wherein TEMs are tasked to provide not only the least expensive solutions, but also to deliver products to market quickly. The Mindspeed HDLC products have been pre-integrated and tested with the Trillium SS7 software, thereby enabling TEMs to meet these market requirements while also mitigating technical risk.
