Mountainside Hospital Selects HMS to Supply Information Technology Infrastructure

Under New Ownership by Merit Health Systems, Mountainside Looks to an Integrated System

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Healthcare Management Systems, Inc.([R]) (HMS) announced today that it has been selected by Mountainside Hospital, a 261-bed medical/surgical facility, based in Montclair, N.J., to supply an integrated hospital information system of clinical and financial software. Mountainside Hospital, which was recently purchased by Merit Health Systems, initially made the switch to HMS after looking to move their system from an offsite vendor location to an internally managed infrastructure. With the new HMS system, Mountainside will also be able to speed up processes by displacing much of its existing manual communications.
