Organization Cites Velocity's 'Out of the Box' Deployment and Rich Search Functionality for Decision
PITTSBURGH -- Vivisimo (vivisimo.com), a leading provider of enterprise search software and expertise, today announced the selection of its award-winning Vivisimo Velocity enterprise search platform by the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services (NOKC) to enhance searching on its library portal for healthcare professionals.
Based in Oslo, Norway, the NOKC gathers and disseminates evidence about the effect and quality of methods and interventions within all parts of the health services. Helsebiblioteket (www.helsebiblioteket.no) provides nationwide access to medical journals, databases and other content resources relevant to healthcare personnel. The organization will license Velocity's entire search platform to enhance access to its site and provide users a rich and comprehensive search experience.
"After a thorough evaluation of search offerings in the market, we chose Vivisimo's Velocity based on its rich 'out of the box' functionality and impeccable track record with organizations like ours all over the world," said Kjell Tjensvoll, consortium manager, Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services. "We believe this decision will significantly enhance our users' ability to rapidly discover and find vital information."
The Vivisimo Velocity platform provides enterprises with innovative search solutions that allow users to access, extract and manipulate all available content, regardless of location. By combining the simplicity of consumer search with the flexibility and control of enterprise software, organizations can reap the benefits of increased user adoption and satisfaction without compromising on performance, scalability, security or the ability to configure a solution specific to its business environment. Based on a service-oriented architecture that enables rapid deployment, Vivisimo Velocity can be up and running in just weeks.
"We are delighted to be chosen as the enterprise search provider of choice by NOKC, and participate in its charter to provide important content to the Norwegian Health community," said Raul Valdes-Perez, CEO of Vivisimo. "Our continued penetration with public facing organizations all over the world, which demand enhanced search functionality to make critical information easy to find and discover, tells us that search has truly become an International language. We look forward to working with NOKC in providing absolute accuracy and timely delivery of information, which is paramount to increasing its users' overall satisfaction."
To support the evaluation process Vivisimo partnered with Swets Information Services.
