Caris & Company Appoints Jonathan Meyers Head of Technology Investment Banking

DEL MAR, Calif. -- Caris & Company announced today the appointment of Jonathan Meyers as Head of Technology Investment Banking. Mr. Meyers will be based out of the investment bank's San Francisco office.
"Jonathan's domain expertise in the semiconductor industry and overall experience working with a wide variety of technology companies over the past 25 years, his leadership skills, and - most importantly - his integrity make him a great addition to the Caris & Company Investment Banking Team," said David B. Stetson, Head of Investment Banking.

Mr. Caris observed that this hire greatly augmented the firm's commitment to Technology Investment Banking and to become Wall Street's top boutique investment bank dedicated to emerging growth technology companies.
Prior to joining Caris & Company, Jonathan was the senior technology investment banker for WR Hambrecht Co, where he concentrated on the semiconductor industry. Prior to that, Jonathan was a Managing Director at SoundView Technology Group for ten years and was responsible for establishing SoundView's San Francisco office and West Coast Investment Banking effort. Previously, Jonathan had been the Director of Technology Banking at PaineWebber and, subsequently, the co-founder of the California office of Needham & Co. He began his career in investment banking with Loeb Rhoades & Co., where, after several mergers, he eventually became head of West Coast technology banking at Lehman Brothers.
Jonathan has over 30 years of experience as an investment banker, assisting scores of companies raise capital in public and private markets and complete M&A transactions. He received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Meyers holds the Series 7, 24 and 64 designations. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his wife and is an avid audio/videophile.
