LiteScape to Demonstrate UC Applications That Integrate WebEx With IP Telephony at VoiceCon
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. -- LiteScape Technologies, Inc. (www.litescape.com), a leading developer of unified communications applications, will demonstrate LiteScape's OnCast unified communications solution at VoiceCon (Booth 235) today through August 23rd at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA. LiteScape OnCast is the only application that tightly integrates WebEx's on-demand collaboration services with IP telephony systems to dramatically simplify the process of collaboration.
LiteScape OnCast tightly integrates WebEx Meeting Center with IP-PBXs and IP phones. OnCast allows users to seamlessly move between the interface and device of their choice to schedule, launch and join WebEx collaboration sessions with one touch. With OnCast, users can schedule or join meetings instantly from their desktop, Microsoft Outlook or an IP phone. When it's time to join a meeting, a user receives a broadcast message on their IP phone and then with the press of one button, OnCast automatically dials and validates a user with the appropriate audio conferencing bridge using their IP phone. Simultaneously, OnCast launches a web browser on the user's PC and automatically joins him or her to the web collaboration portion of the conference.
"Our customers are increasingly demanding UC applications that help them tightly integrate their communications systems with WebEx collaboration applications to optimize business processes and improve productivity," says Stu Schmidt, Vice President, Solutions Group at WebEx. "By integrating enterprise IP telephony systems, corporate directories and other desktop applications with WebEx, OnCast greatly simplifies the overall process of collaboration, bringing increased value to our application and a compelling, productive experience for our customers."
LiteScape OnCast provides the foundation upon which organizations can securely integrate all of their business applications with their IP communications infrastructure. LiteScape OnCast bridges the gap between corporate data, collaboration tools, desktop PCs, and IP phones to create a seamless communications experience. The power of OnCast lies in its ability to integrate organizations' IP telephony systems with a range of critical business applications including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes, Salesforce.com and WebEx.
"The real promise of unified communications applications exists in their ability to increase user productivity in compelling ways that help users save time, communicate more intelligently, and collaborate more effectively," says Farzad Naimi, CEO of LiteScape. "Our WebEx integration is an excellent example of this. LiteScape extends access to WebEx's powerful suite of collaboration applications; saving users time and -- more importantly -- helping them share information more efficiently."
OnCast has been deployed globally by multi-national organizations across multiple verticals to improve employee productivity, reduce costs, optimize traditional business processes, and increase corporate security. LiteScape OnCast is presently available directly through Cisco, WebEx or from LiteScape and its certified reseller partners.
