Hackett: Forbes.com, "Talent Management Strategies Pay Off"
Business Wire, August 20, 2007
ATLANTA -- Choose the best leader for the job if you want your company to attain financial success. That sounds easy enough, and it's commonly understood in the corporate world. However, many companies aren't practicing what The Hackett Group, a strategic advisory firm, calls "talent management."

In its analysis of companies' recruitment processes, The Hackett Group enumerates the performance benefits of fostering an internal talent pool and ultimately defines talent management as "the core process by which organizations identify talent needs and acquire, develop, manage and measure talent."
