IP Commerce Introduces Multiple Payment Service Connectivity to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007
Business Wire, August 21, 2007
Retail Customers Can Now Seamlessly Deliver Traditional and Alternative Payment Services Through a Single Integration
DENVER -- IP Commerce, Inc., a software company enabling open commerce services between businesses, today announced plans to deliver a toolkit designed to integrate with Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 to support multi-service connectivity for retailers. Commerce Toolkit for Multi-Channel Retail (MCR) integrates with the Microsoft Commerce Server Starter Site to provide retailers with a complete, end-to-end e-commerce solution that includes traditional and alternative payments, and provides for compliance with Payment Application Best Practices (PABP), a sub-set of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard.
With the release of Commerce Toolkit for MCR, powered by IP Commerce, Commerce Server 2007 customers gain access to alternative payment options, including electronic check processing, stored value and gift cards, express checkout, and bank card processing as a traditional payment option. Ultimately, retailers will be able to link payments from their e-commerce solutions to their other line of business solutions including kiosk applications, physical storefronts, mobile storefronts and more, offering deeper payment options across multiple channels through a single integration.
"Out-of-the-box integration with the Commerce Server Starter Site brings several benefits to users including reduced time to market for new e-commerce solutions, increased flexibility of payment options and access to emerging alternative payment solutions," said Caesar Samsi, senior group manager for Commerce Server at Microsoft Corp. "This new approach from IP Commerce supports the recently announced Commerce Server strategy to lead e-commerce innovation through new functionality, such as the single integration to provide multiple payment options that Commerce Toolkit for MCR provides."
"Enterprise retailers face significant difficulty operating seamlessly across multiple channels today," said Chip Kahn, IP Commerce CEO. "By augmenting Commerce Server 2007 with the addition of this SOA multi-payment platform, we can now provide retailers with new security-enhanced e-commerce payment options while providing a base for payments in other channels in the future."
"Commerce Server is about organizations connecting with their customers whenever, however or wherever they shop," said Jean-Yves Martineau, CTO and founder of Cactus Commerce. "We are pleased to work with partners to integrate technologies like Commerce Toolkit for MCR to enable organizations to offer multiple payment options to satisfy their customers."
When integrated into Commerce Server 2007, Commerce Toolkit for MCR provides the following benefits:
* Access to new and emerging payment types
* Seamless integration of multiple e-commerce services
* Reduced transaction costs through flexible payment options
* Dynamic management of payment types from a single location
* Security-enhanced, PCI-compliant solution
