I-many Achieves 'Powered by SAP NetWeaver' Status for its Next-Generation Enterprise Contract Management Framework
Business Wire, August 22, 2007
EDISON, N.J. -- I-many, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMNY), a leading provider of contract management software and services for the enterprise, today announced that its Enterprise Contract Management Framework (ECMF) has achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver([R])" qualification. Built on a leading-edge, service-oriented architecture (SOA), ECMF is optimized to deliver software solutions across the entire contract management continuum, from the core functions of contract authoring and compliance to sophisticated analytics and business intelligence - all in a single integrated platform.
I-many ECMF achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" status for deployment on the J2EE engine of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server Release 6.40 and for seamless integration with the SAP NetWeaver Portal Release 6.0 via iViews. Solutions that have achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" qualification enable customers to achieve commonalities in system landscapes, hardware, software, and support skills, thus driving down total cost of ownership (TCO).
I-many ECMF is the key enabling technology behind the company's industry-targeted contract management solutions, including the flagship I-many Contract Management Suite for Life Sciences, which is rapidly being adopted by several major pharmaceutical and medical device companies. I-many's easy integration with SAP has proven to be a key benefit and driver of adoption.
"By ensuring that our next-generation products are tightly integrated with critical software infrastructure such as the SAP NetWeaver platform, we will be able to further expand the value of our solutions to enterprises across industries such as the life sciences," said Lawrence Lindsey, executive vice president of product operations for I-many. "As a result of ECMF achieving `Powered by SAP NetWeaver' qualification, I-many users will experience the familiar look and feel of their SAP solution-based environments, lower deployment costs, and improved operational performance by delivering vital business information throughout the enterprise."
I-many ECMF combines enterprise-class security, robust and scalable J2EE platforms, and an industry-standard database aligned in a true SOA. Since I-many ECMF allows all information, including metadata and documents, to be stored, accessed, and managed using a common infrastructure across all its modules, the solution enables users to capture data once and use it repeatedly across the enterprise.
With the I-many ECMF architecture, I-many is one of the first providers in the industry to deliver specialized analytic solutions that allow its customer to gain insight into the potentially sweeping effects of their past, current, and proposed future contracts. This advanced insight, which reaches well beyond contract authoring and compliance, allows users to adjust their corporate strategies in near-real-time and to better optimize performance well into the future.
The SAP NetWeaver platform powers the SAP Business Suite family of applications, SAP xApps[TM] packaged composite applications, and solutions such as I-many ECMF. SAP NetWeaver unifies integration technologies into a single platform and is pre-integrated with business applications, enabling change and reducing the need for custom integration.
