Gennum Closes Sale of Consumer Headset Product Line to CellPoint

BURLINGTON, Ontario -- Gennum Corporation (TSX:GND) today announced that it has closed the previously announced sale of its consumer headset product line to CellPoint Connect AB, a leading provider of wired and Bluetooth[R] enabled wireless headsets/earphones. The sale is part of Gennum's strategy to streamline its product line in order to focus on its high-speed mixed signal products for the video and data communications market.
Gennum's consumer headset line includes the nXZEN[TM] and nX 6000[TM] products, all incorporating Bluetooth technology. CellPoint currently offers the Flamingo line of headsets and is set to launch a new lifestyle brand "Happy Ear."
Gennum and CellPoint reached a definitive agreement for the sale on August 9, 2007.
