USA University and College Promotion Goes Global

Business Wire, August 3, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO -- International students around the world want to study in the US but struggle to find the information and assistance they need to choose the right school.

Now the StudyLink network - http://www.studylink.com/usa/index.html, including exclusive sites on Yahoo! India and Yahoo! Asia, has launched a USA education portal to provide information on US higher education, a college and university search as well personal assistance through online expert advisors on issues such as visas, TOEFL, finances and choosing a location.

"It's about visibility, and getting the USA brand in front of more students," says Tony Stewart, President of StudyLink Americas. "The US is losing market share not because the quality of education is dropping but because students are being presented with other options - UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and even China and India - rather than US options. This StudyLink USA directory gets the US colleges back in front of the international students, through our partnerships with the biggest websites, including Yahoo! Asia."

"You have an efficient working ability which is scarcely seen in China. I can't believe that a people can help me so greatly without any charge," says Jim, a student from China.

The StudyLink USA education website not only helps students looking for university degrees, but also community colleges, ESL and English language colleges and private schools specialising in such subjects as Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.

"Each year around 2 million students are helped with the StudyLink service," says Mr. Stewart. "Whether they are looking for a diploma, to learn English, a pathway to university, an MBA or a PhD, StudyLink can help."

Universities and colleges from California to Ohio, New York to Florida are part of the campaign to show the positives of studying in the US.

The StudyLink USA Directory is online at http://www.studylink.com/usa/index.html or Yahoo! Asia at http://intl.yahoo.asia.studylink.com/usa/index.html.
