Ms. Grothjan, who joined Juniper in 2004, is responsible for the company's worldwide distribution partner relationships and channel partner program infrastructure including all partner support and IT requirements. She is being honored in the second annual VARBusiness Power 50 Women of the Channel for her more than two decades of channel advocacy, as well as her leadership within Juniper Networks' channel sales and operations teams.
"Juniper has worked hard to raise the bar and strengthen its relationships and influence with the IT channel overall and among our J-Partner community in particular," says Grothjan. "This recognition by VARBusiness is truly an honor and further demonstrates that our efforts and investments are making a positive impact on the channel and its influencers."
Under Ms. Grothjan's leadership, Juniper successfully redesigned, realigned and expanded its U.S. inside sales team to better support channel partners, adding a new inside Channel Account Manager (iCAM) organization and stronger regional and tertiary sales coverage model. In addition, the high-performance networking leader established a Partner Advisory Council and developed and introduced several key partner resources including the new Juniper Opportunity Registration engine which was announced in May 2007.
"Successful channel partner programs are accomplished through the dedication of the channel executives who oversee them. The CMP Channel is proud to honor those women whose commitment to the channel has improved the profitability of their solution provider partners," said Robert C. DeMarzo, vice president and editorial director, CMP Channel.
The Power 50 Women of the Channel were chosen by CMP Channel editors who combed through a large number of candidates in order to identify the most outstanding and influential female channel executives in the industry.
