All-Suite Hotel Experience Welcomes Visitors to the Heart of Bluegrass Country and the Horse Capital of the World
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Doubletree([R]) Hotels welcomes its first hotel in the state of Kentucky with the newly converted Doubletree Guest Suites([R]) Lexington. Conveniently situated on Richmond Road, this Doubletree hotel is just minutes from historic downtown Lexington, the University of Kentucky and the world-famous Kentucky Horse Park - home of the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Formerly a Sheraton([R]), the 155-room Doubletree is operated by RBHV Lexington, LLC under a franchise license agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT). The hotel is managed by Hospitality Ventures Management, Inc.
"Our Doubletree Guest Suites product continues to grow and gain interest in cities throughout North America and is known as the second largest, upscale, all-suite hotel product line in the industry," said Dave Horton, senior vice president - brand management for Doubletree Hotels. "We are truly proud to expand our Doubletree brand to the state of Kentucky and city of Lexington with our longstanding tradition of a warm, welcoming and friendly hotel experience."
Guests are greeted at the Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington with a French Quarter-inspired, five-story atrium courtyard that is lushly landscaped with plants and fountains and filled with natural, ambient light. Many of the hotel's spacious guest suites feature a separate living room area with a sofa sleeper, microwave oven, refrigerator and Wolfgang Puck([R])in-room coffee service. Ergonomic chairs and spacious desks along with wireless high-speed internet access encourage business travelers to be productive during their stay. Guest bathrooms feature oversized whirlpool style tubs, along with curved shower rods that allows for 20% more space in the shower and the brand's signature selection of Neutrogena([R]) bath and body products.
The 2,300-square-foot Mardi Gras ballroom at the Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington can accommodate special occasions and events of up to 250 with ease. The hotel's collection of more than 5,000 square feet of meeting rooms is ideal for seminars, executive retreats and weddings. The open atrium also provides an excellent venue for exhibits, cocktail receptions and networking functions. Complimentary wireless high-speed internet access (wi-fi) also is available in public areas -- including the hotel lobby, restaurant and lounge -- for hotel guests.
For year-round recreation at the beginning or end of a busy day, guests can simply head to the hotel's fitness facilities, which include an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness facility equipped with cardio and weight training equipment. The tempting tastes of the Bluegrass Country are proudly presented in Tippadore's Restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, Tippadore's offers succulent signature entrees and contemporary American fare. In-room dining is available during peak hours.
Members of the Hilton HHonors([R]) guest reward program may earn Points & Miles([R]) for every qualifying stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington. "From our legendary history in equestrian sports to our beloved hometown history in college basketball, Lexington also is noted for its scenic natural beauty and more than two centuries of heritage, history, sports, art and music. We hope that our new Doubletree name and affiliation with the Hilton Family of Hotels will encourage and attract corporations and associations across the Midwest, as well as members of our local community, to take notice and celebrate everything from business meetings to family reunions to special anniversaries with us," said David Price, hotel general manager. "We encourage guests to experience the Doubletree difference with an industry-leading guest reward program, the welcome of our legendary chocolate chip cookie and a relaxing hotel environment."
