Daylight Forensic & Advisory Receives Safe Harbor Certification
Business Wire, August 9, 2007
NEW YORK -- Daylight Forensic & Advisory LLC, a leading international regulatory and investigative consulting firm, today announced that it has received Safe Harbor Certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Daylight's Safe Harbor Certification will now allow the firm to transfer personal data outside the E.U., expediting the flow of information between European clients and Daylight's offices in London and the United States. The certification recognizes that Daylight's privacy and data-security policies provide "adequate protection" for personal data from its European clients as required by the European Union's Directive on Data Protection.

"Receiving our Safe Harbor Certification from the Commerce Department will enhance our capabilities to better serve our European clients by tapping into the many resources we have available in the United States," said Ellen Zimiles, Daylight's co-founder and CEO. "Under the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure we will now be able to assist our clients with time sensitive issues such as e-discovery requests."
Joseph Spinelli, Daylight's co-founder and COO, added: "Rigid security controls and a code of conduct that respects an individual's personal information are the foundation of all our client engagements. The controls and policies we have set in place either meet or exceed all of the E.U.'s requirements. It is our belief that in order to best serve our clients we as a firm need to meet or exceed any requirements the market requires."
