Last-Minute Online Shoppers Get Express Shipping Upgrade For Delivery Before Christmas
NEW YORK -- For shoppers looking for last-minute gifts and to save money on rush shipping, American Express today introduced a shipping upgrade for online purchases of American Express[R] Gift Cards from December 7 through December 17, 2007 at www.americanexpress.com/gift.
> Gift Card shoppers can get express second day shipping for $5.95 - the cost of standard shipping and a $7 savings on typical second day shipping costs of $12.95 - for online purchases of the American Express Classic Gift Card as well as for the themed Gift Card Especially For(SM) Kids, Teens, Movie Lovers, Dining, the Bride and Groom, and Birthdays. All American Express Gift Cards come with special offers available at best-of-brand retailers. The upgrade is automatic when purchasers choose the "Express 2nd Day" in the drop-down list of shipping options."We wanted to offer our customers a worry free way to choose gift cards for last minute shopping," said Stefan Happ, general manager, American Express Gift Cards. "Now they can get a great gift - the gift of choice - in time for the holidays and save money on shipping."
The American Express Gift Card, available in denominations ranging from $25 to $500, can be redeemed at U.S. retailers and restaurants that accept American Express Cards. The Gift Card can be refunded if lost or stolen.
